French Wine Scholar Study & Certification Program

Atlanta Wine School is excited to be an authorized program provider proudly offering the prestigious French Wine Scholar Study and Certification program. This in-depth program provides current and accurate information on the wines and wine regions of France. Developed and administrated by the Wine Scholar Guild (formerly known as French Wine Society) with the support of the French Ministry of Agriculture, this specialization program is designed for serious students of wine, whether professionals or serious wine hobbyists.


Italian Wine Professional Certification

This qualification endorsed by the Italian Trade Agency, teaches you the fundamentals of the complex world of Italian wine. IWP is recommended for anyone who wants to strengthen his or her knowledge base on the subject of Italian wine and gain the confidence necessary to discuss, sell, buy, and enjoy Italian wine at a professional level. 


Wine & Spirit Education Trust: Award in Wines & Spirits Level II, ONLINE STUDY


Learning about wines and spirits has never been more flexible. Enjoy the ability to work around your existing schedule through enrollment in our 5 week WSET Level 2 Online study program. This course follows a 5-week study program including live webinars and instructor support with set start and finish dates along with a 50 multiple choice examination which must be completed in person at Atlanta Wine School.



Wine & Spirit Education Trust: Award in Wines Level III, ONLINE STUDY

Learning about wines has never been more flexible. Enjoy the ability to work around your existing schedule through enrollment in our 9 week WSET Level 3 Online study program. 

Through a supported and interactive Online Classroom, the Level 3 Award in Wines online course covers the same syllabus as the classroom course while allowing you to study alongside your peers under the guidance of a dedicated educator. 


Wine & Spirit Education Trust: Level I, Award in Wines

This globally-recognized qualification provides a basic introduction to the main styles of wines available to guests or front-line staff, as well as knowledge and skills in the storage and service of wines. It is perfect for the novice wine lover looking to add some structure to their wine knowledge. This is a one-day course culminating in the exam.



Wine & Spirit Education Trust: Level II, Award in Wines and Spirits

This globally-recognized qualification teaches you about the key grape varieties grown around the world, the different styles of wine produced and the production of spirits and liqueurs. The systematic approach to wine tasting is followed when tasting each wine. Although successful completion of Level 1 is not required, it is recommended. This course is made up of two days of lectures followed by a review along with the exam.


Wine & Spirit Education Trust: Level III, Award in Wines

This advanced course provides a comprehensive look at the world of wines with an intense focus on systematically and professionally tasting wines. In-depth lectures and discussions covering wines of the world are designed to give a thorough understanding of the principal wines of the world and their commercial importance.

The course covers the major grapes and wine styles produced around the world, including what influences the style and quality of these wines and the prices procured for them. In addition, this course will develop to a high-level your ability to describe wine accurately, and account in detail for the style, quality, and price of wines. Our experienced educators will assist you to develop your analytic tasting abilities through a carefully selected series of more than 80 wine samples.
