Join us as we explore the greatest wine producing areas of the world with your personal tour guide and wine expert, Paul Dietz of Chateau de St. Cosme and Ryan Mullins of Winebow. Discover small production wineries and unique varietals while you uncover hidden gems and delve behind the scenes at our favorite off-the-beaten-path wine producers. 

This interactive series provides a unique context for the enjoyment of wine appropriate for every level of interest and expertise. Learn about the history, culture and language of wine through visual presentations, commentary and anecdotes from Paul’s personal experiences. And best of all, leave us with greater confidence, passion and understanding of the grapes so you can ultimately experience the pleasure of wine.

About Château de Saint Cosme:

Château de Saint Cosme is the leading estate of Gigondas and produces the appellation’s benchmark wines. Wine has been produced on the site of Saint Cosme since Roman times, evident by the ancient Gallo-Roman vats carved into the limestone below the château. The property has been in the hands of Louis Barruol’s family since 1570. Henri and Claude Barruol took over in 1957 and gradually moved Saint Cosme away from the bulk wine business. Henri was one of the first in the region to work organically beginning in the 1970s. Louis Barruol took over from his father in 1992, making a dramatic shift to quality, adding a négociant arm to the business in 1997, and converting to biodynamics in 2010.

About Paul Dietz:

Paul Dietz is the Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Craft + Estate/Winebow Imports. C+E is focused on family owned, true to place and delicious wines from France, Austria and Greece.

Paul is originally from Sydney, Australia and was born into the Food and Wine industry. His passion for wine came from his Father, a restauranteur, chef and hoarder of amazing wines. Their family’s restaurant now boasts one of the largest collections of wine in Australia. Post university, Paul continued to explore his interest in wine, studying WSET Level 3. After finishing top of class, he was awarded Wine Australia ‘Australian Wine Ambassador’ 2012. His passion for wine isn’t just limited to academics, he’s taken time to work multiple harvests in Germany and Australia. In late 2015, Paul moved to the US with Negociants USA, to represent Australia’s finest family owned wineries in America.

About Ryan Mullins:

Ryan is a proud Atlantan (and 3 time Man versus Wine Champion!!!) who has been working as a Certified Sommelier around the city for 18 years. Ryan is currently a key accounts wine consultant for Winebow Georgia. Ryan is a student of wine in all of his facets, but Oregon and Rhone Valley wines are a specialty focus of his. After fifteen years of visiting wine country for harvests, wine camps and barrel tastings Ryan is ready to share is love and knowledge of wine.
