World-class educational Seminars, Celebrities, Wine Tastings, Craft Beers, Spirits and Gourmet Food Highlight the 33rd Annual South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival

April 25th – 28th

The South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival has undoubtedly become one of the Southeast’s premier wine and food festivals. What’s not to love about a premier event with an impressive roster of winemakers, master brewers and master distillers held in a breathtaking venue that just happens to be surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and glistening emerald water? And lucky for us, it’s just a few hours’ drive south of Atlanta in Sandestin, Florida at the Town Center of Grand Boulevard!

Featuring a stunning showcase of the best wines in the world, the festivities kicked off on Thursday night with a festival preview and celebration with honored winemakers and shakers from some of the top wineries in the world. And, of course, these preliminary events included wine tastings and gourmet food stations, but the best was yet to come!

The party really kicked into high gear on Friday with the Craft Beer & Spirits Jam featuring more than 100 craft beers and lively spirits from around the world being poured by industry celebrities, along with entertainment from Nashville songwriters. Area chefs of eateries and award-winning food trucks such as Roux 30A, Slick Lips Seafood & Oyster House, Cabana Café, The Craft Bar, The Bistro at The Courtyard Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, Cantina Laredo Modern Mexican, SaBai Thai Café, Grayton Beer Brewpub,  LaCocina Mexican Grill & Bar, and Nanbu Noodle Bar, provided delicious tastes from their kitchens along EATS Street.

Saturday, the most highly anticipated day of the festival, is all about the wine; about 800 of them to be exact! But what glass of wine would be complete without a sampling of the world’s finest foods, including cheeses, olives, sushi, charcuterie and confections, of course?! With Willamette Valley gaining international acclaim for producing some of the world’s best pinot noir, Oregon wines were the highlight of this year’s event accompanied by Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine.

Saturday also marked the kick off of many educational seminars including our staff’s favorites “From Kentucky Whisky Pioneers to Iconic Industry Transformations – The Maker’s Mark Way”, “The Origin and Evolution of Oregon Wines”, and “Perfect Pairings” of Wine and Cheese.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! The Culinary Village and Nosh Pavillions were also in full swing offering tastes of Herbed Crusted Goat Cheese Fritters, Cottage Style Roasted Tomato Puree, Cider Seared Salmon, Stout Braised Beef Short Ribs, and Cajun Spiced House-Made Smoked Tuna Dip and Chips to name a few of our favorites.

And on Sunday, we rested. Just kidding! We did it all over again and we checked out the incredible Rosé All Day Garden and Spirits’ exhibitions. Just another day at the beach for this crew! Hope you can join us wine industry insiders next time for what is guaranteed to be the time of your life. Best of all, Vino Venue friends enjoy 20% off Grand Tasting single day tickets.
